Quicksilva’s conneQt® Central to Adapter Project Entry
19th August 2015 - Quicksilva are delighted to have been announced as finalists in the 2015 EHI Awards in the ‘Best Use of IT to Support Integrated Healthcare Services’ category, in respect of Quicksilva’s work with HSCIC; Liquidlogic; OLM and Corelogic on the Adapter Project.
The judges recognised the impact the pioneering project has made in integrating health and social care in the London Borough of Islington as an initial site. The Adapter, which utilises Quicksilva’s conneQt® integration service, went live in early 2015, enabling the automatic discharge of patients from hospital to social care teams.
Automating the process has meant dispensing with lengthy faxes and time consuming manual processes, making the referral from health to social care faster and more transparent. An added bonus is the automatic verification of patient details against the NHS Personal Demographics Service, driving up data quality in the Borough.
‘We were convinced of the potential of the Adapter from the get-go, so it is tremendously satisfying to see this work recognised by the EHI judging panel and great to be able to celebrate this with our project partners’ said Quicksilva’s Business Development Manager, Bonnie Thomas.
The Adapter Project, which forms a key component of the HSCIC Social Care Informatics Programme, is shortly to go live in a further three London Boroughs, with future plans including extension of the scope of the service to allow data sharing between broader care settings.
The awards ceremony is on 1st October 2015 at London’s Westminster Bridge Hotel.
